1.Who we are
We are Hazchem Safety Ltd, Registered in England & Wales (Company no. 08341262) Beta House, Borough Road, Buckingham Road Industrial Estate, Brackley, NN13 7BE, England. Hazchem (Hazchem safety Ltd,) is the Data Controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act.
We value your right to protecting your data and we collect information during our interaction with you. The term data covers all items of information supplied by the individual, or a company on the individual’s behalf whereby a person can be reasonably identified. Our lawful grounds for processing data under the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is legitimate interest.
2. What we’ll do with your data
We hold selected data in order to:
Effectively place orders, communicate with relevant personnel within an organisation and to answer queries on relevant business transactions. This may include an email address with your name included and your work telephone number and you can opt-out at any time.
Where applicable, Hazchem uses trusted third parties for the purposes of sales and marketing activities including forecasting and communications. These tools are carefully selected and the information stored is password protected.
3. How we look after it
The Data Protection Officer is responsible for the collection, effective saving and, where appropriate, deletion of your data.
We will not share information about you with third parties without your consent unless the law allows or requires us to do so and you can request information on how your data has been stored by contacting us. Hazchem has organisational methods for processing its customer’s information and will have reliable processes in place to ensure only the necessary data is knowingly gathered.
4. Why we need it
For the purposes of ordering products online, we will only ask for necessary fields to be completed as part of the transaction but we may need to contact you about your order or relevant communications in the future. Hazchem-Lynx is a secure portal and passwords are not kept.
Our purpose of having your personal details include reasons such as customer enquiry, ordering, confirmation of orders, marketing communications such as direct mail, emails and sales communications. In short, it includes that which you would expect to provide as a supplier to support the services that you require.
5. How long we need it for
Payment details are held within SagePay for the length of time necessary to complete card transactions and some information you supply is held within the secure accounts management portal supplied by SAGE.
We will occasionally contact you via your company email address or telephone number to promote products and services to you that you might reasonably expect. We will not knowingly send you any marketing that is not relevant to you, but we may make this decision to do this based on your buying history, the industry we believe you to work within. An example of this might be your job function, E.g. Health and Safety Officer or Procurement Manager.
Online – including Cookies and IP Addresses
We use sales software tools which collect company data and limited information based on buyer behaviour in relation to certain URLs when they visit our website. This service uses IP addresses and internet-based information such as LinkedIn and any contact details found therein have been sourced using GDPR lawful grounds.
We allow Google to set cookies on our website so that we can personalise your information to tailor our marketing messages to you while you browse and analyse the way in which visitors find our information. You can change your Google settings at any time.
6. What your rights are.
The new law on the General Processing of Data Regulations means that by law we are trusted to take diligent care of your data and states that you have the right to be deleted (your personal data to be removed entirely from our systems) or unsubscribed from mailshots. In this instance, your details will be encrypted, therefore making it possible for the system to recognise you (and exclude you from communications) without revealing your information.
You also have a right to request to see what the process is that we go through in processing your personal data and to ask where we found your information if you did not volunteer it to us.
If there were to be a breach of data protection, we have a duty of care to inform you within 72 hours of the breach taking place by law. You have the right to complain to the supervisory authority if you believe we are in breach of the GDPR law at any time.
Your data is used for the purposes of sales transactions and selected marketing activity and you have the right to opt-out at any time.
