The KONG impact proof gloves design was based on measuring impact forces at multiple hand zones to determine the level of TPR protection required to minimise impact force for the wearer, ultimately to avoid hand injury. KONG’s patented impact protection reduces impacts by up to 95%*, turning breaks into bruises.
The first KONG Impact glove was the KONG Original (SDX2) which is still the most popular glove in the range today and undoubtedly the most recognisable around the globe.
The KONG range consists of many styles suited to all task types and industries, from the Insulated Waterproof Glove (SDXW2), Rigger Cut 5 (KRC5), to the Knit Cut 5 (KKC5B) or the Super Dexterity Glove (SDXG2); with more new styles in development and some recently launched including the 360 Cut A6 Chemical Impact (KCHA5) and the Deck Crew Cut 5 Waterproof (KDC5W) both of which are Cut Level F.
To date, these US-made safety gloves have helped to protect over 6 million hands from impact injuries, with 27 patents and 95 trademarks. You can see the incredible cut resistance of these impact gloves in the Ironclad video below!
